What is
instrumentation?
Instrumentation is the branch of engineering which deals with the
measurement, monitoring, display, etc. of the several energy exchanges that
take place during operation. In short, the instrumentation is the study of
the instrument. The instrument is a device that is used to measure,
monitoring display, etc. of a process variable.
What are the process variables?
- Pressure.
- Flow.
- Temperature.
- Level.
What is transmitter?
It is an instrument which has a sensor in it to sense
process variable directly after sensing it, and its display to out-put.
What are the different types of Transmitters
- PTx:- Pressure Transmitter.
- FTx:- Flow Transmitter.
- LTx:- Level Transmitter.
- TTx:- Temperature Transmitter.
- DPT:- Differential Pressure Transmitter.
What is DPT?
DPT is a device which
is used to measure the difference of pressure between two points in a line.
What are the Different types of the instrument?
There are three types
of the instrument are widely used in the process industries.
- Hydraulic:- It required to Oils or Water for the operation
- Pneumatic:- It required air pressure in between 3 to 15 Psi for the operation
- Electronics:-It requires Signal between 4 to 20mA for the operation.
Whats are the Different Types of Electronics Instrument
There are two types of Electronic Anoaloge and Digital devices
Analog Devises operate between 4 to 20ma and degital devisec Operates like a switch.
