How to Calibrate Thermocouple type Temperature Transmitter /Procedure for Thermocouple type Temperature Transmitter calibration.

Types of equipment required:

1. Temperature Transmitter
2. 24 VDC power supply
3. Multimeter digital
4. Millivolt source {(DPC-725/754 (documenting process calibrator)

The formula used for calibration:

                            mV = °C × 0.0416

                            °C = mV ÷ 0.0416

The procedure of Thermocouple Temperature transmitter Online Calibration.

1. Connect the circuit as shown in the figure.
2. Select multimeter in a ma mode.

For Example:

Range = 0 ~ 200°C

mV = °C × 0.0416

Let‘s take the temp= 50°C

mV = 50 × 0.0416 = 2.08 mV

So 5 point calibration values are like this:-

So right now we know the corresponding values of temp in ma

Select thermocouple option in process calibrator And apply different values of temperature in process calibrator and check the mA in a multimeter and by adjusting zero and span in the potentiometer.  Repeat this procedure.
